"Incredible experience, zen concept from A to Z. Perfect to escape the noise and sounds of the city for a moment of pure relaxation forgetting time and stress! They don’t even have clocks! Slightly disappointing hot springs, as in it’s just one big pool, no cold pool or whirlpools (maybe the spa package offers these?!) incredibly friendly and helpful staff."

"A very good Japanese-style B&B ~ The room is large and very clean. The toilet, bathroom, and hand washing area are separated and can be used by several people at the same time. There is also a washing machine outside, and there are also laundries and convenience stores nearby. The only drawback is the location. It is relatively remote, so you have to take a bus from Kita Ikebukuro to Ikebukuro Station."

"First of all, I was surprised at the atmosphere that was completely different from the image from the appearance of the building which was baptized without cleanliness in the whole hotel. Especially, the very filthy system of putting the message from the front desk on the floor under the room door was difficult to withstand. I went to look forward to having a drink at the front desk, but I stopped seeing the number of message cards placed on the floor on the way to get 々 and I felt bad. Even if a drink was prepared with the hand that exchanged the filthy card. The room felt narrower than the plain rice of the display, and it was actually quite different from the stylish interior like the photograph. The room was not clean, the furniture, the wall, the bathroom, all of which were clean, especially the cloth under the bed was long and very filthy. The table is small and there is no space to put things properly. When you open the door with the refrigerator, the door of the safe comes to you, so you have to open the refrigerator while pressing it. The hand washing of the washbasin is also important to look? It was very hard to use to fly up there. Only the bathtub was large and beautiful. The business hotel of 10000 yen per night was the top."

"Although the room is relatively small, the hotel lobby is cool in design, and the elevator is completely in the style of a nightclub. However, the hotel's service is worth recommending. The room cleaning even refuses to accept tips, which is very cute ☺️ We went to have breakfast. The Indian and Filipino guys spoke fluent English and had a very good service attitude. Most importantly, the food was delicious. This is highly recommended. The overall feeling is pretty good."

Metro (Tokyo Metro & Toei Subway): Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines connect all major districts and attractions, with stations in close proximity to popular areas like Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Asakusa. Prices vary depending on the distance traveled. You can buy individual tickets, or for added convenience, opt for a Suica or Pasmo card, which offer discounted fares. Click to check Trip.com hour ticket.

2. Trains (JR Lines): The JR (Japan Rail) network is essential for longer journeys within Tokyo and to nearby cities. The Yamanote Line is the most famous circular route connecting key districts. 3. Buses & Trams: Buses are a great way to explore neighborhoods and take in scenic views of the city. The Tokyo Toden Arakawa Line is Tokyo’s last remaining tram route and provides a nostalgic way to see local sights.

4. Taxis: Taxis are readily available but are more expensive compared to public transportation. They are a good option for short trips or when traveling in a group, but be prepared for higher fares, especially during peak hours.

GGuest UserI am a book lover myself, and came to stay here for 2 nights in March a week before Easter, mainly for the library theme and book selection. The hotel itself, the book lounge, and the book libraries on each floor was all very very good. However, upon my checking in, it was obvious that the male receptionist on the left pay more attention to Caucasian guests rather than me (an Asian solo female traveller). I had the impression they just wanted to get rid of me asap, and then served the Caucasian guests behind me. During the whole of my check in process, no one mentioned anything about the special libraries on each floor, no one told me about the free beverages offered “at the far end corner for the reception desk”, and definitely no one mentioned anything about he QRcode library tour!!! I stayed for two nights and it was only after the first night (when I read the books inside my room that I knew of ANY of the services I mentioned above). Of course one may say I could read all those on the signage’s provided in the property. But then… Upon walking into the reception desk the next day, I did hear the same male receptionist explained in great detail (everything I mentioned above)in English to other Caucasian guests. I like the library premise of the property, the books selections were great, exhibition on the first floor was quite nice, however, I am not sure if I would stay for a second time, knowing how they treated solo female Asian guest whom they assumed was not civilised enough (that was my impression) to deserve a thorough introduction about this lovely bookish hotel from them. Quite disappointed to be frank, especially knowing how much history this hotel has included!!

GGuest UserThe hotel is ideally located close to Shinjuku Train Station, but far away enough not to be caught up in the hustle and bustle of the commuter traffic. Another station, Yoyogi station, is a better station to catch the local trains/subways as it is smaller and less crowded. The hotel is located close to shopping and eating that you don't need to walk very far to satisfy any craving. From 7-11 to high end dining, everything is close by. There are restaurants and even a Shake Shack (got our desserts from here several times) inside the building and department stores just across the bridge that crosses the railway tracks. The hotel actually starts on the 20th floor, so you are high enough that the noise from the railway doesn't bother you. Since you are so close to the train station, you don't have to lug your baggage too far from the train station (if that's how you came into town). Service from the staff was very good and was as expected from a higher end hotel. The room was on the large side for Japanese hotel rooms. We had a king size bed and space to walk around even with 2 suitcases and 2 carry-ons taking up floor space. The elevators were quick and silent with a view overlooking the promenade. Filtered water is provided next to the elevators, which came in very handy since we filled our refillable battles starting out each day of sightseeing. A refrigerator was provided as was a safe. Towels were changed on demand and sheets were changed every 3 days or on demand. The bathroom was small but not the smallest we experienced, the shower/tub was great with a handheld sprayer available. The toilet was the typical bidet/heated seat setup that all hotels seem to provide. Everything was clean and neat with the typical (for Japanese luxury hotels) compliment of items - toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor, shower cap, skin lotion, soap, shampoo, etc. Unfortunately, we were on the go most of the time and didn't experience any of the hotel restaurants, but they looked high end and we probably wouldn't have eaten at them since we didn't really pack any nice clothes that would have fit into the clientele. Overall, a comfy place to stay in a great location. I would definitely stay here again.

PpornphunFor us, the location was the best. Close to Shinjuku train station as we had a 8am train ride the next morning. Minutes from restaurant’s street and malls but in the quiet part of Shinjuku down a side road. We had a corner room that was cozy and comfy for the three of us. SSALLESWe had a nice stay at Washington Hotel Akihabara. The hotel is well located, nearby metro lines and local trains which allow us to easily move around Tokyo. Although the room is small, it is well designed and it big enough for few nights. The bed is not very large but comfortable. We managed to sleep with our 2 yo kid. You can also choose between soft or hard pillow. The bathroom was quite big with a nice bathtub. Around the hotel, you have plenty of restaurant and convenient stores. The buffet breakfast was great and everything we try tastes really good ! There is a large choice between Japanese food and wester food. Finally, there is a laundry area which was really convenient.

Good for last min shopping at Ameyoko Street (Uniqlo/GU, supermarket, Daiso, Donki, etc). Delicious & affordable Chirashi Don Sushi bowl (must have). AAnonymous UserWe chose this hotel last minute due to some changes to our itinerary. The hotel is located in Ginza and just 10 mins walk to main shopping street. 6 mins walk to the JR train station for Haneda Airport. Access to the room is by using a pin code. There is no need to checkout at counter, just need to place the checkout magnetic sign at the room front door facing the corridor. The room space is very limited. Enough for 1 24” & 3 20” luggage bags. Any additional big luggage bags in the room, you need to walk on top of the beds. Laundry room, you may skip it. No coins or cards are accepted. You need to download an app to make payment just for the 3kg wash & drying machines (separate machines) If you intend to forward your bulk luggage bags to the hotel, they only accept on the check-in date due to limited space. I booked the hotel through Trip.com. So i went through Trip.com agent to communicate with the hotel if i could send my luggage to the hotel 2 days early before my check-in date. The staff responds YES, they will help me keep. Then we dragged our 3 28” heavy luggage bags through the train, staircases & streets to reach the hotel. The staff that greeted us rejected our luggage bags. I gave her my check-in details & the staff name that accepted our request but to no avail. Luckily, we are able to send our luggage bags to our next hotel through JP Post at Lawson convenience store nearby after 30 mins searching around. If the staff that replied to my request rejected me upfront, all this wouldn't have happened. We are like an ****** dragging our luggage bags around. I can't imagine what will happen to our luggage bags if we used a luggage forwarding company to send them in 2 days early? Return back to the company, and we have to collect them? On the day before we drag our luggage bags, i've sent an email to the hotel directly to clarify again. They didn't reply. Even until now, after a few weeks, i didn't get any response from the hotel. Excellent customer service, keep up the good work.

CCarey LoyCenturion Hotel Ueno: Compact Convenience in a Prime Location The Centurion Hotel Ueno offers a convenient and well-located base for exploring Tokyo. As is typical for the city, the rooms are on the smaller side, but this is a trade-off for the hotel's excellent location. The hotel's proximity to Ueno Park is a major advantage, especially during cherry blossom season. Guests can easily enjoy the stunning natural beauty and cultural attractions the park offers. Furthermore, the area surrounding the hotel boasts a wide variety of fantastic food options, making it easy to find delicious meals and experience the local culinary scene.
